MCX Live

MCX Live is a monthly webinar series in which Material ConneXion speaks with industry thought leaders and is a chance to connect with a larger audience.

Since relaunching the monthly event in September of 2022 I have led the re-launch strategy which includes speaking to different industries and topics vs. material manufacturers.

The Result: Since the re-launch in 2022, MCX Live has been the company’s #1 lead generation source and has had an increase in lead acquisition and booked meetings by 4x, and returning and new registration has also increased by 90%.

The event series has further propelled us into the sphere of solidifying Material ConneXion’s brand perception of being industry thought leaders capable of speaking to any industry.

Recent guests have included: Eric Liedtke, Co-Founder + CEO of UNLESS Collective (Formerly Adidas Executive who worked on the Yeezy brand), Erika Kelter - Adaptive Hardware designer for Meta, formerly at Microsoft, and Andrew Gibbs, design packaging expert and CEO + President of Dieline, one of the industry’s leading online packaging design authorities.

What I did

  • Conduct market research to determine which industries we should be speaking to and work cross-functionally with our EVP of Research for brand alignment.

  • Identify and secure guest speakers and foster the relationship through concepting phases throughout the webinar day.

  • Create all graphics, landing pages, and e-mail marketing for the event.

  • Create all copy relating to the event including title, abstract, landing page copy, e-mail copy and social copy.

  • Coordinate with the guest speaker all technical and event details and project manage the event.

  • Present the speakers and hosts the day of the event.

  • Manage the webinar room and communicate directly with all attendees and facilitate conversation.

  • Create follow-up sales strategy and communicate key insights gained to the sales team to assist with their targeted follow-up.

  • Work with the operations team to create lead delegation strategy within 2 hours of the event wrapping.
